Shree Cement’s capacity to reach 24 million t soon

Shree Cement’s Managing Director, HM Bangur, told CNBC-TV18 that the company’s cement capacity is soon to reach 24 million t with the commissioning of its new Chhattisgarh unit. Just last week the company commissioned the cement mill section of the 2.6 million tpy plant at Baloda Bazar near Raipur. The entire plant is due to be completed within about three months
Mr Bangur expects sales to be between 17.5 and 18 million t in the next financial year, following about 15.5 million t this fiscal (ending 31 March). In the interview, he expressed hope that with the help of government initiatives, cement demand would grow by about 10%.
