Contracts and acquisition news from the major suppliers

World Cement,

FLSmidth

FLSmidth has announced details of an operation and maintenance contract with Egyptian National Cement Company (ENCC). The contract is FLSmidth’s largest O&M contract to date and covers two of ENCC’s production lines in Cairo. It includes supply of spare parts and consumables, development of a full O&M organisation, knowledge transfer to local employees and implementation of industry best practice.

FLSmidth is currently upgrading the two production lines, which have been in operation since the mid-1980s. On completion, each line will have a capacity of 5200 tpd, an increase of 1400 tpd each.

The order will contribute beneficially to FLSmidth's earnings until 2019.
