The plant forms part of Dangote Cement’s Africa Expansion Policy, and is the fourth in the series, following plants in Ethiopia, Zambia and Cameroun. Two further plants are due for inauguration this year in Senegal and South Africa, while construction is underway at plants in several other African countries.
On the same day as the Tanzania plant’s inauguration, the company will hold the groundbreaking ceremony for 25 hectares of jetty land at Mgao village in the Mtawa District.
