The project to be known as the SLN - Benguela Cement and Clinker Factory represents an investment of US$ 294 million and involves the participation of the pension plan of the armed forces and other private investors.

The plant, which will be built in Lobito City, Benguela Province, will take four years to build and when completed will produce 910 000 tpa in its first three years and then by 2016 this will have increased to 1.8 million tpa.
