Vicat's clean market operation

World Cement,
Deployed by the Sococim foundation in December 2014, the Clean Rufisque Marketplace campaign is an active contribution to the drive for cleanliness and sound waste management.
Fondation Sococim has chosen the Senghor group of companies specialised in the design and development of environmental projects to implement the program.
The initiative draws attention to the synergies necessary for setting up a complete process for waste management, and provides a concrete solution for the requirements of local authorities and residents.
It is a service-oriented solution involving a waste-collection and street-cleaning team, assisted by volunteers to ensure the success of the operation and the repurposing of the waste collected.
The issue of waste management implies the provision of efficient and reliable service if the operation is to be really useful. This cannot be achieved without the support of those benefiting from the service (stall-holders, customers, etc.) who must participate by using the collection system and spreading the good word about a cleaner environment.
