Ciments de l’Afrique (CIMAF) is establishing a 500 000 tpa cement plant in Mali worth €30 million. The plant will take around 18 – 20 months to construct, generating 1000 jobs in the process and some 200 direct jobs upon completion. The construction phase was launched in the presence of Mali’s President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita and King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

The plant, which is located in Diago, around 30 km from Bamako, will import clinker from Morocco. The site comprises a 70 tph ball mill with dynamic separator, bag filters, bagging and shipping facilities including two rotary packers, as well as covered storage halls for clinker and additives.
