The tower will feature interior design by the renowned Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli and architectural design by the multi-award-winning architect Shaun Khila.

Cemex provided Vertua lower-carbon concrete with a carbon footprint approximately 35% lower than traditional concretes for this building.

“Thanks to our experience in participating in the construction of some of the tallest towers in the world, we have been able to anticipate the challenges of this project”, said Sergio Menéndez, President of Cemex Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia. “Our participation in such high-scale projects demonstrates our commitment to building a better future through strong, resilient, and more sustainable infrastructure.”

Designed to meet the UAE’s growing demand for residential spaces and inspired by high fashion, Cavalli Tower vows to combine new standards in elegance with sustainable building solutions. Roberto Cavalli’s creative inspiration is drawn from his love for travelling to exotic places and his passion for animal prints. This newest addition to Dubai’s skyline will span 485 residential units, each offering a unique sea view.

The casting of the raft foundation on-site was completed in a record time of 25 hours due to the logistics expertise of Cemex and close coordination with the contracting company China State Construction Engineering Corporation and the real estate developer Damac Properties.

Cemex is getting closer to achieving its goal of Vertua's lower-carbon cement and concrete products accounting for more than half of all cement and concrete sales by 2025, as approximately 56% of its cement sales and 47% of its concrete sales are now Vertua.

Compared to non-Vertua products, Vertua products are designed to contribute a positive impact on the planet as it is intended to allow builders to tailor their projects' sustainable characteristics through its five specific and measurable attributes: lower carbon, energy efficiency, water conservation, recycled materials, and design optimisation.

Vertua is a part of Cemex’s Future in Action programme, which focuses on achieving sustainable excellence through climate action, circularity, and natural resource management with the primary objective of becoming a net-zero CO2 company by 2050.
