Cement consumption falls by 9.2% y/y in Morocco
In June 2014, domestic cement consumption in Morocco came in at 1.24 million t. This is around 9.24% below the 1.37 million t consumed in June 2013. On an accumulated basis, cement consumption declined by 4.4% y/y in the first six months of 2014, totalling approximately 7.4 million t.
The 19th Arab International Cement Conference and Exhibition will be held in Morocco this year. The annual event will take place in Marrakesh on 11 – 13 November. It will bring together Arab and international companies, institutions and consultancy units from the cement, spare parts and equipment manufacturing industry.
