PPC signs contract with Sinoma International

Sinoma International has been awarded the EPC contract for a new 3000 tpd cement plant in Kinshasa, DRC. Sinoma has already conducted site investigation several times and was awarded the contract after several rounds of technical and commercial clarification and contract negotiation.

PPC is a South African company that has announced plans in recent months to expand its holdings outside of South Africa. In its half yearly results, issued in May, the company stated that it intends to increase cement production capacity by 75%, achieving cement production capacity of 14 million t by the end of 2017, through projects in Rwanda, DRC, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia and a new acquisition in Algeria, as well as its existing plants in South Africa.
