Africa CemenTrade release speaker line-up

The upcoming Africa CemenTrade Summit in Dakar, Senegal, has released its speaker line-up, including papers from a range of Sub-Saharan Africa’s cement producers and equipment suppliers. The summit will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel on 18 – 19 April.
Corporate sponsors, Latfallah Layousse, CEO and Managing Director of Les Ciments de Sahel, and Youga Sow, Director General of SOCOCIM Industries will give keynote presentations. Layousse will speak on the contribution of the cement industry to the growth in West Africa, while Sow will focus on Senegal and ask whether the cement bubble is bursting.
Additional speakers will include Luk Haeltermann, Country Head – Senegal, Dangote Industries, who will talk on the Africanisation of the cement industry, while Finn Arnoldsen of BUA Cement will look at Nigeria’s cement industry. The industry in Burkina Faso and East Africa will also be covered.
On the technical side, Cemengal will present its Plug&Grind modular grinding system. Gebr. Pfeiffer, Fives, and Wacker Chemicals will also present, while Marvel International management & Transportation Co. will present the expectations in the freight market over the next three years.
Sustainability will be addressed in a presentation by Egyption Co. for Sold Waste Recycling, which will discuss alternative solid fuel projects in Africa.
