World Cement,
Estanda has announced that it has successfully completed a project that aimed to increase the production of clinker in Lafarge Tanzania’s cement plant.
The project has proven a success, having achieved a significant increase in clinker production – before the implementation of the project clinker production was 800 tpd. Following the completion of the project this have been raised to 1200 tpd.
Estanda made this increase in the production of clinker for cement possible by improving the cooling capacity of the planetary cooler, which consisted of 11 pipes, using the following measures:
- In the hottest zone a new metallic shell (half pipe) and steel components (breaker cones), made from high wear and temperature resistant materials, were installed
- New designs for hub lifters and wear plates, in refractory steel casings, were put into the output zone of the tube.
In addition to supplying the metal shells, Estanda also carried out the assembly of the new additions.
