New cement plant for Sierra Leone
Local news sources have reported that a new 250 000 tpa cement plant – CT-CEM – is to be constructed in Sierra Leone. Cement production will take place in SLPMB at Cline Town and bagging will be carried out in Wellington. Speaking at the public disclosure of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment day in March, which was organised by the West Africa-based Construction Engineering Manufacturing Management and Technical Services Group, the new plant’s General Manager Oliver Albrecht confirmed that the cement facility had already established a CSR budget and that it would collaborate with the local community.
