AUMUND supplies clinker conveying equipment to cement plants in Algeria

As a result of a successful partnership between AUMUND France and AUMUND China, the company has received large orders in Algeria for two new cement plants in Zahana and Bechar. The company has stated that this achievement is the result of decades of customer support, particularly a strong after-sales service supplied by AUMUND France in Algeria, as well as a close relationship between AUMUND China and the Sinoma Group.
Together, the two orders comprise 26 belt and chain bucket elevators, two bucket apron conveyors, 10 pan conveyors, and 10 drag chain conveyors.
The Société des Ciments de Zahana plant is located near Oran and has a capacity of 4500 tpd. Three chain bucket elevators, with centre distances ranging from 22.5 m to 34.9 m and capacities from 50 tph to 220 tph, will be used to convey cement and clinker at this location. Eleven belt bucket elevators (between 22.5 m and 116.1 m) will convey raw meal, cement, and clinker, with capacities between 190 tph and 680 tph. With a centre distance of 61.1 m and a capacity of 360 tph, the AUMUND bucket apron conveyor will join five AUMUND pan conveyors (of between 18.3 m and 106.8 m, with a capacity of between 300 tph and 360 tph) in conveying clinker.
With centre distances of between 6.1 m and 33.8 m, ten of the company’s drag chain conveyors will also be used in clinker dust extraction. They have been designed to convey capacities of between 15 tph and 80 tph.
For the Bechar cement plant, the second order for Algeria was placed by CBMI to AUMUND Beijing, with support from AUMUND France. With a capacity of 3200 tpd, the plant will operate 15 AUMUND belt and chain bucket elevators, five of the company’s pan conveyors, and a bucket apron conveyor for its bulk materials handling. With centre distances ranging from 11 m to 102.9 m and capacities from 70 tph to 480 tph, the bucket elevators will convey raw meal, cement, and clinker. The five pan conveyors will convey loads at up to 480 tph, with centre distances between 22.2 m and 89.8 m. The AUMUND bucket apron conveyor in Bechar will also convey clinker, with a centre distance of 88.5 m and a capacity of 200 tph.
