Reuters have announced that Orascom Construction has won US$200 million of building contracts in Algeria and Egypt. The company announced their plans on 6 March.
Two contracts in Algeria will require Orascom to construct a new cement plant with a capacity of 6000 t per day for a private sector client on top of some infrastructure work for an industrial complex. The contracts combined are worth US$180 million.
Subsidiary National Steel Fabrication has also won a US$20 million contract in Egypt to manufacture and supply all structural steel for a West Nile Delta gas project.
