Ohorongo supports new Gam Kindergarten

A new Gam Kindergarten will soon become a reality with the official groundbreaking ceremony that took place on 27 June.
The initiative came from a request by Hon. Otto Iipinge, Governor of the Otjozondjupa region, during the 25th Independence Celebrations cement truckload handover in Kalkveld. He then approached Ohorongo Cement for assistance to establish a kindergarten in Gam.
Through the Ohorongo otavi Community Trust, Ohorongo Cement agreed to support the project, as part of its infrastructure and education pillar.
The total value of the project, including sponsorships received from Henning Crusher and Independent Facility Services, is about N$ 500 000.The groundbreaking was attended by the Governor of Otjozondjupa Region, Hon. Otto Iipinge, Chairman of the Regional Council of Otjozondjupa, Hon. Julius Neumbo and Markus Damaseb, on behalf of OOCT.
The Governor commended Ohorongo Cement for the example shown in supporting the Harambee Prosperity Plan, and said that it serves as a real example of what can and should be done. He urged other businesses to follow the example set by Ohorongo Cement.
