Rietquelle Junior Secondary School benefited by receiving a truckload of cement from Ohorongo Cement through its Trust, the Ohorongo Otavi Community Trust (OOCT).

The school is situated in the remote area of Aminuis, which is located 170 km South-East of Gobabis in the Omaheke Region.

Given the remote location of Rietquelle Jnr Secondary School, the decision was made to assist them with the donation of a truckload of cement towards constructing a recreational hall.

This hall would benefit the entire community, and not only the school, and would also be utilised to host examinations.

The 36 t of Ohorongo Cement was handed over on 22 April 2016 to a few representatives and previous alumni’s of the school. The school celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2015.

OOCT wants to assist in the creation of windows of opportunity towards development for a better future, for Namibia and its people, and the key to that, is through Education.

The Ohorongo Otavi Community Trust (OOCT) and Ohorongo is not new in its support towards Namibia and its communities.

Since its inception in 2011 to date, the company has invested more than N$10 million towards various projects.
