Angolan cement plant to receive government funding
According to reports from local press, the Angolan government has announced funding worth US$116 million for the Nova Cimangola cement plant. The investment will be used to increase the plant’s production capacity. This will help to maintain the supply of cement to the domestic market and lower prices.
Last month, the Fábrica de Cimento do Kwanza Sul began operating following a four-year construction phase. The new plant is said to have a clinker capacity of 4200 tpd.
