Loesche to supply VRM to United Cement Industrial Company

World Cement,

Saudi Arabia’s United Cement Industrial Company (UCIC) has ordered a Loesche VRM for its cement plant in Al-Sadiya, some 150 km south of Jeddah. The contract for the LM 56.4 raw mill was signed with Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Institute Co. Ltd, part of China’s Sinoma International.

The VRM will grind cement raw material at a rate of 420 tph to a fineness of 2% R 90 µm/2% R 200 µm. The scope of the contract includes design, engineering and supply of the mill, along with a 3600 kW gearbox. In light of the hot weather conditions in Saudi Arabia and the resultant dry raw materials, a grinding bed sprinkler system will be installed on the raw mill to condition the grinding bed.

The key parts will be delivered FOB in August 2014. The plant will begin producing cement commercially in 2H15.
