Conquering the Unexpected with Proven Silo Cleanout Solutions

A Texas cement manufacturing facility familiar with regularly scheduled emptying, rotation and cleaning of its vessels fell victim to the effects of long-term cement storage due to increasing demand for its product and insufficient allowance for downtime or loss of storage.

In any given “standard” situation, a manufacturing facility or terminal will rotate material with enough consistency that severe storage issues generally will not occur without outside stressors such as material exposure to excessive moisture and heat.

The cement facility had been experiencing compounding issues with the air pad system inside the silo and over the course of several years had planned to refit or replace the system. Having had successful experiences in the past, and a good-standing relationship with Marietta, Ohio, USA-based Mole•Master Services Corporation as its preferred cleaning contractor, the project scope and scheduling conversations began to take place.
