About this webinar

The presentation covers the updated grate geometry, which aims to improve clinker distribution and air flow. Design changes such as a narrower horseshoe shape and extended grate length are intended to enhance heat exchange between clinker and air, contributing to higher secondary and tertiary air temperatures.

It also highlights the mechanical layout and maintenance considerations. The cooler features a trackless aeration floor, fewer hydraulic components, and wear-resistant materials in areas exposed to high temperatures. These elements are designed to simplify maintenance and reduce component wear.

Finally, the presentation addresses energy efficiency. Optimised aeration elements and a reduced pressure drop contribute to lower power consumption, while the moving floor principle supports thermal efficiency levels of up to 76%.
