VC North America’s sustainability commitments redefined

Published by , Editor
World Cement,

In November, Votorantim Cimentos North America committed to aligning and advancing its sustainability efforts with the launch of a global environmental policy and new websites for its North American businesses that showcase sustainability.

VC North America is present in the US and Canada and has already made great strides in sustainability, but this global environmental policy brings all of the company’s businesses together to unite in a common vision for environmental responsibility and sustainability. The websites include dedicated pages showcasing this commitment. They define sustainability as respecting the current and future needs of the environment, society and the communities where Votorantim works. Key focus areas include:

  • Safeguarding employees' safety and well-being.
  • Researching, developing and using eco-efficient processes and advanced materials.
  • Managing the company’s environmental footprint.
  • Serving customers and expanding product offerings.
  • Growing the business.
