World Cement,
Argos has signed a 3-year deal with SKF to provide a range of engineering products and services for its cement plant operations in Colombia. SKF provide Argos with condition-based maintenance services, mechanical services, reliability engineering services and condition monitoring solutions.
“SKF has an extensive partnership to support Argos in maximising the utilisation and reliability of its assets, thereby achieving its business objectives,” said Vartan Vartanian, President, SKF Industrial Market, Regional Sales and Service. The service provided by SKF will help Argos to take a ‘proactive maintenance’ approach to ensuring its conveyors, gearboxes and mills operate reliably at four of the biggest plants in Colombia.
An additional ‘trouble-free operation’ corporate supply agreement has also been renewed between the two companies, which will see SKF provide everything from bearings, housings and seals to training and application engineering, to support Argos’ operations in 10 plants throughout Colombia. The agreement has been expanded to cover seals and more bearing products than SKF had previously supplied.
