Holcim awards Fives FCB with Brazilian contract
Holcim (Brasil) S.A. and Fives FCB recently signed a contract for the supply of a 4500 tpd clinker production line for the Barroso plant in Brasil. This new contract follows the one obtained in December 2007 from Holcim Apasco for the implementation of the new greenfield 3500 tpd cement plant in Hermosillo, Mexico and attests of the confidence given by Holcim to Fives FCB.
This new contract covers the EP supply of the clinker production line equipment from crushing to clinker silo and cement silos. The new Barroso kiln line will be equipped with a 5-stage Fives FCB single string preheater with Zero-NOx precalciner and the raw meal grinding plant will be fitted with a Horomill 4400 of 420 tph capacity.
The first clinker production is planned for May 2014.
