Fives FCB USA strengthens its position with a dedicated North American team

In May, Fives FCB, part of world industrial engineering company Fives Group specialised in cement, concrete, SCM’s beneficiation, and minerals, opened a new subsidiary in the US: Fives FCB USA Inc. Fives FCB welcome three highly experienced professionals to help structure its local operations and accelerate its development in North America.

These strategic appointments reflect Fives’ commitment to providing expert, responsive, and local support to cement, concrete, SCM’s beneficiation and minerals industry players across the country.

Matt Devitt joins as Business Development Director

With 20 years of experience in both plant operations as process engineer (Lafarge, GCC, Lhoist) and industrial gas treatment technologies with technical, commercial and operational roles, Matt brings a unique dual perspective that bridges technical expertise and customer needs. His deep involvement in the Cement Industrial Committee (CIC) and IEEE-ACA Conferences positions him as a strategic connector, capable of driving business growth through industry insight and trusted relationships.

Geovanni Calderon is appointed Chief Technical Officer

Geovanni combines hands-on production leadership with extensive commissioning and site management experience, as he previously served as Production Manager at Cementos Moctezuma (Mexico) during 5 years, and then spent 17 years at Fives FCB as Commissioning Manager and Site Manager. His deep knowledge of Fives technologies and recent focus on energy optimisation at Cemex USA as Corporate Energy Manager make him a key asset to lead technical excellence and operational efficiency.

Jeff Sharratt, in charge of Services.

Jeff brings 30 years of experience, including 10 years as Production Manager at American Gypsum and Vicat (Lebec, CA), 10 years at FLSmidth as Services Sales Manager, and 10 years as Field Project Manager and Construction Site Manager. His understanding of plant operations and service needs enables him to offer tailored solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and long-term value for our clients. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Fives FCB USA Inc. shares premises with North American Construction Services, and leverages a strong local network to promote Fives’ advanced solutions: equipment, integrated plants, and services.
