MSHA conducts inspections

Published by , Assistant Editor
World Cement,

In April 2010 monthly impact inspections by the MSHA came into force at mines that merit increased agency attention and enforcement due to their poor compliance history or particular compliance concerns.

In June 2016, federal inspectors issued 114 citations and four orders during special impact inspections conducted at 11 coal mines and six metal and non-metal mines.

The MSHA conducted special impact inspections at mines in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia.
