Cemex supplied concrete for the construction of what is now the largest Costco store in Mexico, located in the Monterrey metropolitan area.

Cemex began work on the project in September 2025, following a planning and design process carried out in collaboration with construction company Maiz Mier. The project was completed in March 2026.

The objective of the project was to ensure high-quality construction while minimising risks and supporting long-term structural performance. To meet these requirements, Cemex provided a low-shrinkage concrete solution designed to reduce cracking and enhance durability.

In total, Cemex supplied approximately 6500 m3 of concrete for the project, including 2400 m3 used in the floor slab. Cemex concrete was also used across loading platforms, access ramps, curbs, water infrastructure, parking areas, and the store’s gas station.

Cemex is proud to participate in projects with the world’s most prestigious companies and the top construction firms in the markets where it operates.
