The company issued this statement to its customers regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic:
“As the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic continues to evolve, we want you to know that CEMEX USA is closely monitoring the outbreak. We are following guidelines set forth by government and public health agencies, including the US Department of State, the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organisation.”
“Health and safety remains our top priority:
At CEMEX, Health & Safety is our top priority. With recent concerns related to COVID-19 Coronavirus, we want you to know what we’re doing to continue delivering a superior customer experience.
We are actively monitoring the outbreak and taking measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. We have plans in place to address this evolving situation should it spread to any of our operations.
To help ensure everyone’s well-being, CEMEX is following the guidelines from the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organisation (WHO). As of today, no CEMEX employees in the US have been diagnosed with Coronavirus.
Workforce social distancing and sanitation best practices:
Our employees have been encouraged to follow social distancing and personal hygiene recommendations. In addition, they have been instructed to stay home if they are sick, avoid non-essential travel and avoid attending business-related events. We will continue to monitor this situation and take additional measures as needed.
Ensuring continuity, in accordance with local and federal regulations:
Our Management, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams are working diligently, to the extent of their possibilities and in accordance with local and federal regulations, so that you do not suffer supply disruptions and we provide you with the service you deserve.
We want to keep our people healthy, so you get the cement, aggregates and ready-mix concrete you need, when you need it.”
