World Cement,
Three Buzzi Unicem USA manufacturing facilities have earned ENERGY STAR® certification from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This recognises superior performance among similar facilities in the industry and has been awarded to the company’s Chattanooga (Tennessee), Festus (Missouri), and Maryneal (Texas) facilities. The company has noted that ENERGY STAR certified plants perform in the top 25% of similar facilities nationwide.
This marks the tenth consecutive year that these facilities have earned the ENERGY STAR recognition. In meeting the strict qualifications, the facilities are saving energy, saving money, and helping to protect the environment by using less energy than peer facilities.
The EPA’s ENERGY STAR programme has been America’s resource for saving energy and protecting the environment for more than 20 years. Today, thousands of facility owners and managers use ENERGY STAR to improve the energy performance of their buildings and plants.
