World Cement,

The NSSGA is now accepting applications for the 2016 Barry K. Wendt Memorial Scholarship. Entries will be open until 27 May.

The Barry K. Wendt Memorial Scholarship, of US$2500, is presented annually to a student who plans to pursue a career in the aggregates industry. The scholarship was created to honour the memory of the late Barry K. Wendt, an NSSGA member who tirelessly devoted his energy to advancing the causes of the aggregates industry.

Scholarship application should be completed by 27 May – a complete application includes an application form, a 300 – 500 word essay detailing plans for a career in the aggregates industry, and one or more letters of recommendation. Eligible students will be enrolled in a mining-related degree programme and will have completed at least one year of college coursework.
