The National Ready-Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) has recognised a member of the Cemex family as one of the top ready-mix delivery drivers in the country. A 22-year veteran driver from Cocoa, Fla., David Mangold was one of two runners up in the 2016 competition.
A panel of industry judges selected the winners from a pool of national applicants, with the winner chosen for their outstanding career achievements, safety records, professionalism, driving competency and customer service skills.
Mangold has averaged 10 000 cubic yards delivered over the last three years and is a favourite among Cemex customers.
“Dave exemplifies our number one core value – safety – not only with his tremendous safety record but also in assisting others with safety issues. Additionally, Dave is very customer focused and has built some wonderful relationships with our customers over the years. Congratulations Dave, we are very proud of you.” said Doug Augeri, CEMEX, Vice President & General Manager, Palm Beach & Treasure Coast.
"David Mangold is a great driver, but an even better person,” said customer Kellie Bardo, of JR Pumping Inc.
As a runner-up, Mangold will receive a $1000 check from the NRMCA and will be honoured at an awards breakfast on April 12, during the organisation’s annual convention in San Diego.
