Cementos Moctezuma has donated over €50 000, partly in materials and partly in cash, to the non-profit foundation Casa Alianza, for the construction of a new residential centre in the southern district of Mexico.
The foundation has worked in the country since 1988 and is involved in rescuing homeless children, who are often victims of abuse and exploitation, and offering them a place to live, play and grow. The new Casa will house 200 adolescents, both girls and boys, and will be build according to the most modern criteria, in terms of sustainability and energy savings.
The project is currently underway and will likely be inaugurated in January 2017.
