Workplace exams rule delayed until October

MSHA has delayed the effective date of its controversial workplace examinations rule until 2 October.
As well as providing comments and working with aligned stakeholders, NSSGA briefed lawmakers with congressional oversight of MSHA in an effort to highlight the industry’s concerns with the new rule.
The delay was announced in the Federal Register on 22 May, and NSSGA will continue efforts to oppose the rule.
