NALC, LLC, based in Putnam, Indiana, has announced plans to invest US$5 million+ to establish a new limestone quarry and fine-grind facility in Cloverdale, Indiana. The operation will be located just one half mile from its existing 174-acre operations. The new site, which will be the company’s second, will include the extraction and processing of high calcium carbonate limestone to be sold for a variety of purposes, including manufacturing of glass, pollution control, safety in underground coal mines, and a filler for product manufacturing and other industrial applications. The company plans to begin operations at the new site by October.
