Lehigh Hanson cement plants gain ENERGY STAR certification

Lehigh Hanson’s Leeds, Union Bridge and Glens Falls plants have all received ENERGY STAR certification for 2015. The certification shows that the plants perform within the top 25% of cement plants nationwide for energy efficiency, according to the strict levels set by the EPA.

"Energy efficiency is a key aspect of Lehigh Hanson's commitment to operating our manufacturing facilities in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner," said Jon Morrish, President and CEO. "The operational efficiency and strict energy management at the Leeds, Union Bridge and Glens Falls cement plants are a reflection of the priority we place on sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint."

This is the third consecutive year the Union Bridge plant has received ENERGY STAR certification and the second consecutive year for the Leeds and Glens Falls plants.

"From the plant floor to the board room, organisations are leading the way by making their facilities more energy efficient and earning EPA's ENERGY STAR certification."
