In September 2016, Buzzi Unicem signed an acceptance certificate for the new raw grinding mill installed in its Maryneal plant (Texas, USA).

The installation supplied by Fives comprises an FCB Horomill® 3800 fitted with an enlarged sleeve (+8%). Fives also provided erection and commissioning supervision services.

Production performances were achieved to the satisfaction of Buzzi Unicem, with a raw meal output of 270 tph, a fineness of 12% rejects at 90 microns sieves and a mill specific consumption lower than 7.6 kWh/t.
