Munson Machinery doubles test lab capabilities
Munson Machinery, which manufactures mixing, blending and size reduction equipment, has announced that it is expanding its headquarters in Utica, New York. The project, which will increase the site’s area by a third, will provide an expanded assembly area with 6.7 m high bays and two bridge crane systems to accommodate larger machines. It will also include a new shipping and receiving area with loading dock, space for a new water jet, sheet metal rollers and additional welding centres.
The facility comprises a test lab where customers can test their materials on full-sized Munson equipment. Under the expansion plans, the lab will be doubled in size, enabling multiple tests to be carried out simultaneously.
“The expansion will boost our fabrication and assembly capabilities to increase production and reduce lead times, and permit reorganising of existing manufacturing space to improve work flow and efficiency,” said Charles Divine, Munson Machinery President and CEO. “It will also allow us to increase the size of our test lab.”
