Net sales were 14.3% higher than the corresponding period in 2011. Sales were driven by improving financial conditions, particularly in the north of the country, as well as by greater public and private investment in construction works. Around 621 000 t of cement was produced during the quarter, up 14.7% y/y. Of this, 50 400 t was produced in the Rioja plant and 570 600 t in the Pacasmayo cement plant. Clinker production declined by 0.1% y/y in 4Q12 but increased by 4.2% y/y in full-year 2012.
