More than 80% of Cemento Andino’s production destined for Venezuela’s housing programme
Year-to-date cement production volumes for Venezuela’s Cemento Andino have reached 283 308 t. This is the equivalent to 6.5 million bags of cement, which have been distributed in the states of Trujillo, Mérida, Barinas, Portuguesa, Lara and the south of Zulia. Approximately 81% of the cement produced by Cemento Andino is utilised in the country’s housing programme ‘La Gran Misión Vivienda Venezuela’.
Work is currently underway on a second line at the Las Llanadas Trujillo plant, which would increase the company’s capacity to more than 2 million tpa.
