World Cement,
Having started up the No. 2 kiln in Barroso plant and after inaugurating the new line installed for Holcim Brasil SA, Fives has satisfactorily carried out performance tests on the FCB Horomill® 4400 grinding plant, implemented to produce 420 tph of raw mix.
These 20-hours performance tests enabled Lafarge-Holcim to produce 438 tph of raw mix with a product fineness of 11% rejects at 90 µm, and an electrical power consumption limited to 10.8 kWh/t for the whole grinding plant.
This FCB Horomill® grinding plant allows for reaching product moisture of 0.05%.
Performance tests on the kiln line will be carried out soon.
