World Cement,

In September, the Argos group’s President, Jorge Mario Velásquez, and Vice Technical President, Victor Lizarralde, visited the China Building Materials Academy, where they were welcomed by CBMA Vice President Ma Mingliang.

The delegation visited the State Key Laboratory of Green Building Materials. Velásquez said that greening of the building materials industry is the future path for the industry in Central and South America. He admired the laboratory's significant role in and outstanding contributions to major and key generic technologies in the development of China's green building materials industry, and expressed a willingness to have further cement communication and cooperation with CBMA.

Subsequently, Ma held a discussion with the delegation, elaborating on the domestic and overseas business development of Beijing Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd. (Beijing Triumph) as CBMA's cement engineering sector. Velásquez introduced Argos' business distribution and the construction and reconstruction of its cement production lines, and talked about the potential for substantial project cooperation between the two sides.
