Argos, part of Grupo Argos, has appeared among the 60 companies recognised at the Merco Empresas in Panama. Merco evaluates the reputation of companies, leaders, and institutions in more than 10 countries and has become a global reference monitor.

Companies were awarded for having the best reputations in the country and Argos was additionally recognised in the Responsibility and Corporate Governance awards, which were presented for the first time. In this latter measurement, Argos was recognised as a top 100 company to adopt best practices.

Located in Colombia, Argos has stood out over the past 10 years in the various measurements that Merco carries out. Merco evaluates seven sectors of interest when giving out its awards: top local executives, financial analysts, trade unions, economic information journalists, NGO representatives, business professors, communication directors, opinion leaders, and consumers. In 2017, the Merco Empresas ranked the company fourth.

“It is very pleasant to be part of the recognised companies in this first version of Merco Panama, because every day we work to make sure we manage the reputation of Argos based on our culture, our values, and the business model that we have developed responsibly in all the countries where we have a presence,” said Harry Abuchaibe, General Manager of Argos Panama. “This achievement confirms the good relationship with our customers, collaborators, investors, suppliers, communities, and other stakeholders.”
