The NSSGA has awarded Doug Palmore, senior vice president of customer and technical services at Luck Companies, the 2017 Barry K. Wendt Memorial Commitment Award. He will receive the award during the NSSGA’s Annual Convention.
“We are proud to present our association’s most distinguished individual award to Doug for recognition of his years of service to our industry, his positive work ethic and selfless volunteer leadership,” said Michael W. Johnson, NSSGA president and CEO.
“Doug successfully wears many hats at Luck Companies, and yet he also finds time to use his knowledge and expertise promote sound science and combat over-regulation on behalf of the entire industry,” said Norman Jetmundsen, vice president and associate general counsel at Vulcan Materials Company. “He does not always get the recognition he deserves because he is humble and does not draw attention to himself. He’s a pleasure to know and to work with and he is very dedicated to our industry. I am glad to see that he is being recognised for the many unselfish hours of service to all aggregates operations, Luck Companies, his family and his community.”
