World Cement,
NSSGA’s Environmental Committee Meeting will include updates on crucial water, air and sustainability issues affecting the industry and be held from 7 to 9 am on Monday 21 March, at NSSGA’s Annual convention and AGG1 Academy & Expo in Nashville.
The feature speaker will be Tim Bishop of Mayer Brown, who is lead counsel in NSSGA’s lawsuit challenging the WOTUS rule. He will present a summary of the WOTUS case to date, and discuss the prospects for future success in amending the rule.
While the rule is currently under a temporary stay nationwide, it would dramatically increase the water features requiring a federal permit and increase costs for operators. Bishop has argued numerous land use and environmental cases before state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.
