Change of direction for Cemex Colombia
Cemex Colombia has undergone a rebrand as it turns its attention from providing construction materials to offering building solutions. The company hopes to take advantage of Colombia’s strong mining sector and increase in housing by launching a range of new solution initiatives and strengthening existing sustainability projects, such as ‘Patrimonio Hoy’ and ‘Bloqueras Solidarios’.
A new business unit, ‘Housing and Infrastructure Project Development’, will be opened in the country and a new product portfolio has been introduced, covering generic, maritime, structural, high endurance and architectural uses. Cemex Colombia will also enter the aggregate trade and debris management business.
