More than 5.6 million t of cement was sold on the Brazilian market in February

Preliminary results published by the SNIC indicate that domestic cement sales in Brazil reached 5.626 million t in February 2014. This compares with 5.075 t in February 2013. In the first two months of 2014, sales of cement on the national market reached 11.537 million t, up 8.7% y/y from the 10.614 million t sold in January – February 2013.

In May 2014, the CBC Brazilian Cement Conference (Congresso Brasileiro de Cimento) organised by the Brazilian Portland Cement Association (Associação Brasileira de Cimento Portland) will return after a 15-year hiatus. The event will take place in São Paulo, bringing together some 350 cement industry professionals.
