Keen to provide its customers with tools and solutions to improve profitability and reduce environmental impact, Cementos Argos has developed a new cement sack.
The Smart Pack is a soluble pack that is able to entirely disintegrate into concrete mix without affecting the product’s quality. The solution, already launched in Guyana, San Vicente, and Santa Lucía, produces no waste.
In addition to this environmental benefit, the disintegrating sack also eliminates disposal costs, increasing efficiency and safety for construction workers.
The product has been well received by the company’s customers in the Caribbean and is an evolution of the Sacos Verdes reverse logistics programme.
Cementos Argos is a leader in the Colombian cement business, being the fifth largest producer of cement in Latin America and the second largest is the US. For cement, Argos is the leader in Colombia and third biggest producer in the US.
