Mini cement plant in Peña will produce 600 tpd

World Cement,

A mini cement plant south of Yaritagua, in the Venezuelan municipality of Peña, will have the capacity to produce 600 tpd. The plant forms part of an agreement between India and Venezuela. It will be located in the Valeroso Peña industrial complex, with access to high quality limestone reserves. The quantity of limestone available means that it may also be destined for other uses, such as aggregate and fertilizer.

According to the local Governor, Julio León, the cement plant will generate around 200 direct jobs. There will also be mini cement plants in Portuguesa and Cojedes, each representing an initial investment of US$15 million. The plants will each produce 4.5 million bags of cement per year, helping to construct approximately 20 000 houses in each state.
