Cementos Argos, cement company of Grupo Argos, has stated that it is one of the Colombian companies that believes in and bets on gender diversity. The company has 40 women drivers in Colombia, as well as women holding positions that were traditionally filled by men. These include maintenance officers, laboratory technicians, scale operators, etc. It has stated that it has more than 1000 women working towards building dreams.

In 2018, the company received the Equipares gold level seal. This recognises companies that effectively implement the gender equality management system, thereby achieving cultural transformations and the closure of gender gaps. Cementos Argos was the first company to receive this certification.

“At Argos, we value and live permanently the value of diversity with the people of our organisation,” said Maria Isabel Echeverri, Vice President of Sustainability at Cementos Argos. “We always act with the conviction of promoting the construction of the dreams of all our collaborators in the hand of inclusion and equal opportunities. We want to be an example of transformation in our country and the world, demonstrating in our day to day that we can achieve our goals regardless of our gender, origin, orientation, training, and other factors that make us authentic.”
