Buzzi Unicem has announced that it has joined the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA).
Founded in early 2018, the GCCA includes among its members 16 leading companies in the cement and concrete production sector. This represents more than 30% of global production capacity. The GCCA is working closely with national and regional associations already in existence and the Portland Cement Association (PCA) was the first of these associations to join the GCCA.
The GCCA has stated that its mission is to interact with international institutions and major stakeholders. The association aims to ensure that cement and concrete are recognised as essential elements in achieving the objectives of sustainable development, as well as coordinating the efforts of the building industry, in order to improve and innovate its production process.
Buzzi Unicem is one of the leading cement manufacturing companies in the US.
