Argos, a cement company of the Argos Group, has reaffirmed its commitment to the development and progress of the department of Atlántico by donating more than 1000 tons of cement that will be delivered to the Secretariat of Infrastructure, an institution that will lead the improvement of the road corridor to access Las Tablas and Pita townships, located in the municipality of Repelón. For the execution of this project, the company has implemented Víaforte technology, a road infrastructure solution that is part of its new Green Solutions portfolio.
With this intervention, Cementos Argos and the Government of Atlántico seek to guarantee the conditions of resistance and durability in this access road to communities distant from urban centres, which results in improved quality of life for the inhabitants, since now they will be able to transit with greater ease and in less time, while facilitating the entry of vehicles that carry water and other essential supplies.
For this work that will benefit around 9500 people, Argos, in addition to donating product, will provide technical knowledge to the team of professionals from the Secretariat of Infrastructure who will lead the work with the support of the Municipality of Repelón and the community.
“We are sure that the connection between urban and rural areas contributes to the development of the territories; for this reason, we join with local governments and communities to carry out these projects that contribute to the growth of municipalities and the well-being of thousands of people. This is just one of the ways in which we create social value,” said William Nassar, Manager of the North Argos area.
